Using Auxerre vines, worked on original land, the dark Cahors wines express their flavour in terms of wild berries. An "appellation contrôlée" since 1971, here the wine has developed this unique characteristic, seducing a famous oenologist who said: "For anyone who has tasted them, Cahors wines are tremendous wines." Cahors has a Wine museum in La Chantrerie, the former fermenting room of the Chapter. Every spring in Albas there is a party; at the foot of the elegantly planted hillsides, "the good air is in the cellars"... and that is definitely worth celebrating!
